,,Јер сам увјерен да нас ни смрт, ни живот, ни анђели, ни поглаварства, ни силе, ни садашњост, ни будућност, Ни висина, ни дубина, нити икаква друга твар неће моћи одвојити од љубави Божије, која је у Христу Исусу Господу нашем.” (Рим. 8:38-39)
У недељу, 16. августа, 2020. године, епиграфске речи Светог Апостола Павла, упућене страдалним римским хришћанима, су изнова пројављене у Парохији Светог Саве у Сан Габријелу, која се сабрала око свога Епископа, Владике Максима, да предвођени њиме, и уз саслуживање локалног презвитеријума, принесу своје словесно благодарење Господу.
Упркос, дакле, јако високим температурама које су ових дана у Лос Анђелесу, а које се крећу око 40 степени, глобалној пандемији која је променила ток наших живота, уносећи неизвесност и забринутост, као и наметнутим рестриктивним мерама, које онемогућавају сабирање верника у храмовима, велики број парохијана се сабрао овог дана да, у порти свог прелепог храма, посведочи своје животне приоритете, као и да литургијским молитвама загрли сву оправдано одсутну браћу и сестре, по речима евхаристијског возгласа ,,ради свих и за све”, молећи се и за њихово здравље и добробитије.
После недељног јеванђелског читања Владика Максим се обратио кратком али садржајном беседом својим епархиотима, у којој их је подсетио на неопходност поста и молитве у задобијању спасења, поручујући им да је пост пројава наше слободе а молитва израз наше љубави ка Богу.
Након овог духовног банкета и саборовања око Чаше Живота којој је приступило мноштво учесника истог, уследило је и телесно окрепљење у виду послужења које су припремиле и послужиле вредне сестре ове Парохије.
Ка цркви се увек хита а из цркве се никада не жури, су речи којима је локални парох Предраг Бојовић поздравио верни народ а које су у потпуности остварене на овом недељном саборовању у Српској Православној Парохији Светог Саве у Сан Габријелу.
DIVINE HIERARCHICAL LITURGY ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 16, 2020
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, оur Lord. ” (Rom. 8: 38-39)
On Sunday, August 16, 2020, the epigraphic words of the St. Apostle Paul, addressed to the suffering Roman Christians, were reconfirmed in the Parish of St. Sava in San Gabriel, which gathered around its Bishop, His Grace Maxim, to, led by him, and with the concelebration of the local presbytery, offer their logical thanksgiving (Eucharist) to the Lord.
So, despite the very high temperatures in Los Angeles these days, which are around 100 degrees, the global pandemic that has changed the course of our lives, bringing uncertainty and concern, as well as the imposed restrictive measures, which make it impossible to gather believers in temples, a large number of parishioners gathered on this day in the yard of their beautiful church, to witness and manifest their life priorities, as well as to embrace all justifiably absent brothers and sisters with liturgical prayers, in the words of the Eucharistic exclamation, “on behalf of all and for all”, praying for their health and well-being.
After the Sunday Gospel reading, Bishop Maxim addressed his flock with a short but meaningful sermon, in which he reminded them of the necessity of fasting and prayer in obtaining salvation, telling them that fasting is a manifestation of our freedom and prayer is an expression of our love for God.
After this spiritual banquet and gathering around the Cup of Life, in which many attendees partook, a lovingly prepared lunch was served by the hardworking sisters of this Parish.
We ought to always rush to the church and never to hurry back from it, are the words with which the local parish priest Predrag Bojović greeted the faithful and which were fully realized at this week’s gathering in the Serbian Orthodox Parish of St. Sava in San Gabriel.
